Every Friday, you have a bunch of newbies hitting the silver screen. With so many new faces, you sometimes wonder where did the stars of yore go?
Well, here is some good news the legends are making a comeback. And, they seem all set to leave a mark in their second innings. The original flower power girl, Zeenat Aman, made a fleeting appearance in the recently released comedy caper starring Ranvir Shorey and Mallika Sherawat.

Danny Denzongpa has almost four films to look forward to this year. After being seen in a comedy recently, Bollywood baddie Prem Chopra will be spotted in Dilli 6 along with stalwarts like Waheeda Rehman.
It is a sheer delight to have all of them back simply because our generation has missed out on the action of the golden era. Their charisma and the mere chutzpah is just so amazing, feels actor Divya Dutta. Even Bollywood badman Gulshan Grover says its great to see them back again. This generation will get to see their work and why should they be sidelined? It is in the interest of the actors as well as producers and directors to get veterans, as it helps to get media coverage, he maintains. And, actor Ashish Chaudhary feels, This is a natural progression.
What is driving all these actors to get back to something that made them what they are today? I think the values have come alive again with old actors getting back to work. And, where there is a will, there is always a way. That they wanting to act is a good sign and we, as filmmakers, are happy as these stars are more experienced and mature. They understand cinema very well, and a good actor is always a good option for us, not to say that the new ones dont have the zeal, says filmmaker Harry Baweja.
It was a pleasant surprise to see the charming faces of Anuradha Patel and Jayant Kripalani on the big screen in the recent Aamir Khan production. And, who can forget the gorgeous grey-eyed Sarika making a promising comeback with films like Bheja Fry and Parzania. Ranjeeta Kaur is also preparing for a comeback with break-dancer Mithun Chakraborty in Zindagi Tere Naam. Mithun, too, had his second homecoming in Bollywood with films like Lucky: No Time for Love and Guru.

The dancing diva of Hindi cinema, Helen, will be seen in debutant director Rajiv Sharmas Bachpan, playing a grandmothers role. A few years back, she was seen in Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. She also made a special appearance in Mohabbatein. Deepti Naval was spotted in the 2003 flick, Freaky Chakra, and will be now seen in Nandita Dass directorial debut Firaaq.
The list seems endless Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and quite a few others. It looks like the golden age of cinema is ready to make a comeback so much better, for the cinegoers!
